The Client

Friends of the Peak are a long-standing organisation dedicated to safeguarding the landscapes of the Peak District. They start life in 1924 and have much success, including the purchase of the Longshaw Estate by the National Trust and being instrumental in having the Peak District declared the country’s first national park. They strive to protect and support local rural communities and the beauty and tranquillity of the Peak District.

The Brief

1. To create a new online look and feel
2. To create a simple e-payments system through members and friends fundraising pages.
3. To reorganise and simplify management of lengthy pages that are regularly changed
4. To create a date driven system for news, events and blogging
5. To create simple galleries within galleries for the future

The Process

Hammer Design respond to the challenge of working closely with the Friends of the Peak District to produce a website that meets the brief.
In addition, full training is provided by Hammer Design on how to most efficiently manage the new website.
