Latest Hammer products & developments
It is always possible to see the biggest changes in design and the whole user experience but as you would expect of Hammer now, they have written plenty of new software from scratch, behind the scenes committed to the pursuit of excellence, and making sure that everything delivered is to the highest standard.
New features and functions
We have been pretty busy over the last few months developing and pushing new features and controls to enhance the whole user experience. Some of the more visually obvious ideas include a Flipping Book as seen in the new Hammer Design portfolio, a commentable blog, user defined RSS feeds, and an enhanced search which is both as thorough as it is fast due to the unique way in which it has been written.
Pushing the organic side of SEO and allowing the website owner to increase site content and referring links we have built some simple but effective tools such as our advanced user controlled footer menus, Web 2.0 most recent pages, recent blog, news, events and galleries. Additionally we have develped a cunning layered click away landing page for those users where a simple landing page advertisement for their website is important. While retaining the search engine visibility for the rest of their site.
Enhancing the graphical components of websites we have been busy writing more flash advertisements, developing smart advanced 'year at a view' calendars and some really clever randomised 'on, hold and off' javascript controls for users to get maximum content with maximium clarity for the user. Rollover javascript balloons and talk bubbles allow easy at a glance views of multiple pages and their summary information. High quality embedded video is now really taking off and Vimeo is a great way of doing this now - simply through our CMS.
E-commerce systems: We have rolled out a full PayPal for business e-commerce entry level system as well as several new extensive shopping cart developments for clients including multiple currencies, multiple languages and multiple price control and discounting. The big e-commerce news will come at the end of this year. So watch this space, as they say.
