Hammer Takes Big Step With Big Boot Company

Exciting and prestigious new project for The Mountain Boot Company will mean Hammer (re) Design of major outdoor brands.

Based in Newcastle The Mountain Boot Company is the distributor for some of the UK’s highest quality outdoor clothing and equipment brands.  First amongst those is the Italian boot manufacturer Scarpa that has been producing quality hand made mountain footwear for more than 60 years. Synonymous with the pinnacle of mountain and rock climbing footwear, Scarpa is the brand of choice for some of the best mountain athletes around the world.  Scarpa boots can be found everywhere from the summit of Everest through to the crags and edges of The Peak District.

What's in store for Scarpa?

 Hammer Design has been asked by The Mountain Boot Company to deliver a complete re design of Scarpa’s UK website, tasking us with increasing the client base for the brand. The new Scarpa website will showcase the high quality products in a stylish and visually relevant manner, will be easy for users to navigate and will introduce social network marketing to prospective Scarpa customers.  On the back end of the website The Mountain Boot Company staff will have Hammer Design’s Chameleon CMS system offering easy to use features and enhanced functionality to make updating the website a synch. 

What will happen to the rest of The Mountain Boot Company brand websites?

Hammer has also secured the opportunity from The Mountain Boot Company to redesign and reinvigorate several of their other top end outdoor brand’s UK websites. Canadian clothing company Outdoor Research, Italian climbing hardware manufacturer Grivel, German pack makers Deuter and several other brands will all be receiving the same Hammer overhaul as the Scarpa website.

And the back end?

On top of all these brands the The Mountain Boot Company’s own trade and retail support website will also be receiving the Hammer treatment.  Initially this will include image, brochure and technical spec support for retailers but later will go on to offer full B2B support.  This will encompass training videos for retailers, POS ordering, up to date stock integrated systems, a forward ordering system and much more!

This is a great big step for Hammer Design and we are looking forward to working with Scarpa and The Mountain Boot Company.
