We have all been greatly impressed by the growth of Google and its responsible (for the large part) ethics. There are lessons for us all to draw on... as socially responsible designers and developers we embrace their foundation wholeheartedly.
Ten things Google has found to be true and we totally embrace and believe in.
Focus on the customer and everything else will follow.
From the beginning Google focused on providing the best user experience possible. While many companies claim to put their customers first, few are able to resist the temptation to help themselves. Hammer shares their philosophies:

* Pages load as fast as possible.

Another take on this maxim would be our determination to find flexible solutions to problems - to retain an openmindedness regarding what can be done and to stay small and reactive at all times - however big we may grow.
You can make money without doing evil.
Google has one way of saying it - we have another - we say that business can do good and that we are not driven by profits but by a need to achieve results, create happy customers and improving their sales through great product.
You can be serious without a suit.
Founder Si Homfray has spent a lifetime dressed scruffily confounding and at odds with the business community of grey suits. We make a big thing of it.
